The visionary, Barnabas Nwoye, began receiving messages from Jesus in July 1995, in Enugu State, Nigeria. He was only a teenager then, when on the first week of July 1995, he heard at the hour of Divine Mercy (3 pm) a voice calling him interiorly.  This experience repeated many times until in June 1996, when he was praying, he fell into a trance and witnessed the whole Passion of Jesus from Gethsemane to the end.  Jesus gave Barnabas a mission, to revive the devotion to the Precious Blood.  Since then Barnabas has received visions of Jesus, Mary, Angels and various Saints. With his fellow Precious Blood devotees, he started the Apostolate of the Precious Blood in 2000 in Nigeria.

 

His book of messages was approved by Rev. Stephen Obikuwu in July 1999, and has received an official Nihil Obstat.  The official book of prayers dictated to Barnabas by Jesus, received an Imprimatur from the Rev. Dr. Ayo Maria Atoyebi, Bishop of Illorin, on June 17, 2001.  Barnabas still receives messages from Jesus, Mary and Saints to this day.
